Kim Delaney, an American actress, is best known for her character the character Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she was awarded an Emmy Award. She has also starred in shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney, the only child of an United Auto Workers senior executive and a domestic worker, was raised by four brothers and sisters. She dreamed of becoming a court reporter during her early years, but began modeling in high school and eventually gaining commercials when she moved from New York. Her marriages have also ended in failure two times. Her custody in 2005 was removed from her.
