Morgan appeared in a film that was about AIDS awareness and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. The proceeds went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She also serves on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the main force in many fundraising campaigns to fight the disease. She also spoke before an Congressional special committee on AIDS education. She sits on the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon-general of Canada, has asked that she replace him for a number of AIDS related occasions. In addition, she was the host of the AIDS Awareness Special together with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice on Nightline on AIDS. Morgan was awarded the Emmy nomination for a particular episode on Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. In the spring she co-starred alongside Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer began in the form of Murder At The PTA Luncheon, produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams were also on the show. The second part of the project took Morgan to Luxembourg and she was a part of the cast as Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in Harmony Gold's production. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also on the set. Morgan has also been featured in a psychological thriller produced for USA Network. The film was a huge success and received the highest ratings ever.
